People whose body is accustomed to prolonged use of illegal drugs or prescription medications can experience withdrawal syptoms if they suddenly stop the use. This set of syptoms is called drug withdrawal syndrome and it may vary from mild to life‑threatening, thus medication-assisted withdrawal can be preffered by a patient or recommended by a physician.
Our Centre offers services of inpatient medication‑assisted withdrawal and inpatient psychosocial rehabilitation, which helps patients with addiction issues seek recovery and stay in remission, as well as develop emotional, social, learning and other skills. Length of residential psychosocial rehabilitation is up to 15 successive days and contains 50 hours of rehabilitation services.It is available to adult patients, who meet the following criteria:
diagnosed mental and behaviourals disorders due to psychoactive substance use, addiction syndrome (F10-F16.2, F18-F19.2)
the patient has completed inpatient treatment at the Inpatient Unit of Vilnius Centre for Addictive Disorders or other inpatient unit, and scores 21-40 according to the Withdrawal Assessment Scale
treatment is voluntary
the patient agrees to follow the internal regulations and signs an informed consent
