People whose body is accustomed to prolonged use of alcohol can experience withdrawal syptoms if they suddenly stop the use. This set of syptoms is called drug withdrawal syndrome and it may vary from mild to life‑threatening, thus medication-assisted withdrawal can be preffered by a patient or recommended by a physician.
Our centre offers inpatient medication-assisted withdrawal management (treating withdrawal symptoms using medications), when the withdrawal process is monitored by healthcare specialists. Inpatient treatment, consultations of a psychologist and a social worker are available to patients who meet the following criteria:
medium or heavy alcohol withdrawal syndrome
symptoms of relapse
dual addiction to alcohol and sedative medications
Length of Medication‑assisted alcohol withdrawal treatment in our Centre is up to 14 days.
Services are free of charge unless stated otherwise. Anonymous treatment is paid for by the patient.
